It’s more than personal training, it’s more than just selling training services to clients and taking their money to run a successful personal training business. It’s not all about taking on every client that comes your way because you just want the sale.
What I just explained is what you need to learn about if you want to become a personal trainer that becomes very successful in the Kelowna area. Most fitness trainers just want to make the sale because they are broke and they never really take the time to see if they are really working with the right clients in the first place.
For me personally, I will only work with clients that are interested in losing weight or clients that want to gain more energy, live healthier or put on a little bit of muscle. If someone contacts me and asks if I will train them to help them prep for a competition or a show, I will not work with that clients because I know I cannot get them the results that they are looking for and so I will send them to another personal trainer in Kelowna that can help them reach their goals.
You need to realize that when you train your clients it is all about the relationship. You cannot and I repeat, you cannot just train your clients without building rapport with them and then hope to have them as a client long term. You need to build relationships that will last you a lifetime, because people love doing business with people that they like, know and trust. So what are you doing to make your personal training clients like, know and trust you on daily bases?
You need to be asking yourself these questions because they are the determining factor between having 20 clients and having 200 clients 5 years from now.
You need to treat your clients the exact same way you would want to be treated. If you were looking for a personal trainer in the Kelowna area, what would you want out of that trainer? What would you want him to do in order to get the best possible experience you could possibly imagine?
These are more questions you need to ask yourself if you want to be the best personal trainer you can possibly be.
At the end of the day, all that matters is that you provide the best possible service to your clients and that you build a relationship that will last them a lifetime. Stop taking on every client and stop getting into this industry just because you want to make a bunch of money. There is more to it than just that.
