Alright, I have been getting tons of questions from my personal training clients in Vancouver on what I think are the best foods for losing weight. I decided I am going to write a post about this and give you guys the best advice when it comes to nutrition. Specifically for the people and clients living in Vancouver… we all know you guys like to eat junk food and enjoy the fancy restaurants in Vancouver, so this post is for you guys!
So now that I got that out of the way, let’s talk about the best foods you can be eating to lose weight and then I will give you the best locations to get these foods if you are living in Vancouver. There are many different grocery stores that you can grab this food from, but I want to give you the best stores available as not all groceries are created equal.

Below are the best foods for losing weight. I will also explain why as there is always a reason why some foods are better for losing weight compared to others.
Lettuce: You have probably heard this before, but lettuce is not only healthy for you because it is a green vegetable, but it is so low on calories that you are almost burning more calories from eating the lettuce then from what you are consuming. This alone should be a good enough reason to prove to you that lettuce is very easy to lose weight on if you fill your diet up with it.
Broccoli: This is another green vegetable very similar to lettuce. It is very low in calories and has tons of micro nutrients that are healthy for the body. It also helps people burn fat and get into good shape.
Both of these vegetables can be found in one of the organic grocery stores in Vancouver. You will want to be very selective when choosing your vegetables from the grocery stores in Vancouver. The last thing you want to do is start eating UN-organic vegetables that are UN-healty for you.
Now lets get into other foods that you need to eat in order to lose weight.
Water: Ok, this one is probably pissing you off, but its the truth… you should not be drinking calories at all. If you want to lose weight you need to drink water and lots of it. Your body is made up of about 80% water, and this helps you drop the fat off your body. The key take away from this is… don’t drink calories, or you will gain weight fairly easy.
You will want to avoid drinking tab water in Vancouver. Apparently it is filled with a bunch of garbage that is very bad for the body. Just head over to the local grocery stores in Vancouver and pick up some bottled water and you should be well on your way to losing some weight.
